Sustainability

Recycled product is handled carefully at every stage

  • Separate storage areas are maintained at every process/machine
  • Traceability documents are maintained in separate registers to record movement of recycled goods between each unit and internally within each machine process
  • Machine cleaning procedure and records are maintained
  • Workers are trained of RCS standards and are educated about Recycled Products
  • A risk assessment plan and complaint handling procedure is maintained at all times
  • The production flow chart is shown and approved by the Control Union
  • Process loss at each stage of production is maintained to verify accuracy of production and to judge input vs. output
  • Machines are marked with signs “RECYCLED UNDER PROCESS” when processing recycle fabric to avoid contamination and mixing
  • The Control Union issues a compliance certificate to each unit involved in the supply chain after being satisfied with all records and traceability procedures
  • Each garment can then be tagged with the RCS tags & labels before supply
  • Once certified as a company, the Control Union issues a certificate against each finished product style (every Purchase Order) 2-3 weeks post export documentation, confirming that the product has gone through the approved stages
